Nothing done writing-wise. I was busy with RL stuff — and besides, starting a new chapter is always a challenge when you're writing a crossover. One must consider carefully what to keep from which canon and what to change and how to stay as true to the original as possible. So, lots of thinking and very little results. *sigh*
I have finished chapter 9! This morning I sat and wrote nearly 700 words. I have also been back though the earlier parts adding a word or two here, taking a word or two out somewhere else. The end result is a chapter that is 2750 words long. So I am ahead of my self-set target to average 100 words a day.
Here is a little bit of this morning's output -
Fully refreshed as she was by a couple of hours sleep after the wine, the dancing, and ‘being swayed by the desires of the body’, she thought it was shame that she couldn’t just reach out and dip her hand into the ice-cold river from here, or she would have paid her beloved back for the ice incident, back in the mountains, with an unexpectedly chilly awakening.
‘I could easily bring you some…’ came a familiar voice in her mind and a slight giggling sound brought her attention to what looked like a tall elleth sitting, almost invisibly, under the trees in the half-light. Nessa!
I got the scripting exercise done — started a new one about a Secret Family Recipe being lost, very silly and very me — and posted. The feedback so far has been positive \o/ so I am happy :)
Great-Aunt Edna's Death by Not-Chocolate Cake. The family hate it, but everyone thinks they are the person who desreves to keep the family secret recipe and make it for every family occasion as a status thing. Unfortunately the current keeper of the recipe has sadly passed on... and doesn't appear to have written it down. Yes, silly but I had fun writing people's outraged reactions :)

Days 18 and 19 — no writing. Two very long days of RL, rising early, having grandchildren all day, late dinners, then just putting my feet up.
It's Day 20 and I have worked on my story for an hour. Writing, filling in the blank spaces and deleting more words. We're leaving for the day, going for a drive. I will get caught up with posts later today or tomorrow.
There are such days when RL eats up all your energy. It's all the more important to recharge your batteries. At least you've made some headway on Day 20. Have fun with the drive!
It's been hit and miss with making time to write, and when I work on the story, the writing is hit and miss too:) But I know I will find my way. It's funny how much writing I need to work through until I find the right path to tell the story.
The drive was great, and we went for a good, long hike in the forest, too. The sun was out, and it was very nice weather! So good to get on the trail in the woods, enjoying Spring.
