I hope to finish two part written chapters of WIPs.

Today I actually did some very different writing though. I am a volunteer in a project called Unlocking our Sound Heritage and today I spent about an hour listening to, and writing notes about, the first half of a recording made in 1998, with a gentleman who was in his 60s at the time, about his life in the hotel trade. I wrote a little over 2 pages of notes. Once I have listened to the whole recording I will condense all my notes down into a short resumé of the topics covered, and a list specific hotels and people that he mentions, and send it back to the archivists at our local museum.

What a great project. Is the interviewing and recording on-going?

Finishing WIP is always a worthy goal!

The interviewing is an ongoing part of the project, still.

For example there is a recording of my mother, made in 2015 or so, talking about her memories of WW2 as she grew from a 12 year old to an 18 year old in which she talks about the Italian internees who worked on the family farm, the guards who were billeted in the family home, and the dances at the local RAF bases, amongst other things. I hope this one will become available soon as it would be good to hear her again

I imagine it would. We've got two short videos of my Grandma, from her 95th birthday and we sometimes re-watch them, for the same reason.

I love the idea--and on an island it seems it will be possible to keep the project relatively contained. One of these days your memories will be there as well :)
