I don't write every day, but I passed the 5000 mark today, so I've put an arbitrary total of 10,000 on the counter. However the story will be finished when it is.

Avon was lying spread-eagled on his back in a clearing, and a lion was standing over him with a paw on each of his hands. Avon turned his head to look at me, the whites of his eyes showing. "Vila, do something!"

"Got any suggestions?"

He rolled his eyes "I don't know, take a thorn out of its paw or something."
