Writing and pico have fallen by the wayside for various reasons in the last couple of weeks, but tonight I was back in the saddle with 800 words of fic. The end cannot be far away (at least I really hope so!).

Harriet was enjoying herself. It had scarcely escaped her attention during previous interviews that Inspector Umplety was considerably more deferential to, and interested in the opinions of, Lord Peter Wimsey, wealthy criminologist, than Miss Harriet Vane, novelist of dubious repute.

Hooray for great productivity once you hopped in that saddle!

Very interesting perspective Harriet's getting to experience. It will no doubt linger long after they switch back. (They are going to switch back, right? If you can say, of course.)

800 words is positively storming along, kudos! Bodyswap does seem such a good device for making Harriet & Peter understand each other.

Part of the problem is that bodyswap ought to be a great way for them to understand each other, but they're both being so obsessed with its impact on them personally that there is a signal failure to engage with "interesting, this is how the world treats me when I am X" in ways that they might actually find useful for the relationship ;-)

They are definitely both the awkward types! The insight might dawn on them after the swap back?

While ending a story often seems to have an element of seeming further away the closer you ought to have got, I am at least definitely proceeding towards the end of what plot there is.

Hurrah for 800 words, and hurrah for Harriet.

Fun to see Harriet making the most of the situation! It will be interesting to see what they both learn from it.
