Success!

I've finished translating - and transcribing - Chapter1 of "The Billion Year Voyage"! Amazing, how the general lack of world-building and technobabble can speed up the job! Alas, it won't be like this for the whole duration of the story. But I'm quite happy for the time being. *g*

Excerpt:

Searching for Xon, he soon spotted the young Vulcan in the second row of the audience. Surprisingly enough, McCoy was sitting next to him. What’s more, they seemed to argue with each other in a low whisper; the CMO of the Enterprise behaved like a concerned father who didn’t want his favourite son to make a fool of himself. Kirk decided to ask Leonard about the argument later and focused on Lieutenant Palamas who was just about to begin her presentation, looking every bit as radiant as she had when she first came aboard.

Thank you. My mind isn't really suited for creative work right now (not the kind where I'd need to, you know, think), but translating 10+ chapters from the original Hungarian/German into English makes me feel that I've acccomplished something anyway. Plus, I've wanted to do this for a long time.
