According to AO3, 'content does have to be at least 10 characters long' - so any ficlet should be fine to post on the grounds of size!

I do plan to post to AO3; I'm on FanFiction.Net too, but the restrictions just kept on increasing, so I've mostly decamped to AO3. The great thing about AO3 is that you can include artwork in your story, which is fab.

I'll add a link to picowrimo when I post (it's a nice challenge to avoid procrastination!).

I've no idea how they'll be received, I'm not active in either fandom - and I picked the least fav ep as inspiration for one, which is also my first attempt at a crossover (although it's a bit 'blink-and-you-miss-it'!) - so, who knows...
