A very introductory bit on Cook's first voyage - 127 words. I was really hoping to get more than the bare minimum done, but it didn't seem to work out that way.

Cook's first voyage turned out to be one of the greatest voyages of exploration, but it began as a scientific voyage – observing the 1769 transit of Venus from the recently discovered island of Tahiti
